A family of Costa Rica raccoons tipping over a trash can at Manuel Antonio National Park and chowing down. Hey Ma! We eat again!
Those look like the Kutamundays we would see in Panama.
Wow! I am impressed . . . I didn’t even know what a Kutamunday was, until you mentioned them, so I had to view the video again and do some research, but they are Costa Rica raccoons or as the Costa Rican people refer to them, Mapache. If you look closely at the beginning of the video, you will see that they have a shorter snout, but also the traditional “bandit” markings around the eyes. The White-nosed Coati of Costa Rica (or Kutamunday as you referred to them) is also known to be found in that area, but again, they have a longer snout and no “bandit” eye markings.
